Supporting those who support us – Free Australia-wide roadside assistance for frontline workers
Digicall Assist is honoured to provide free Australia-wide roadside assistance to frontline healthcare and emergency workers for the remainder of this year, as part of our long-term partnership with Suncorp Group.
In a joint offer by Suncorp Group and Digicall Assist, the free roadside assistance is available to doctors, nurses, hospital staff and first responders in recognition of their service and the challenging situations they face as a result of COVID-19.
Digicall Assist jumped at the chance to help make a difference to those that are making a difference across our community. It’s not every day that we get to do what we’re best at to support those on the frontline of a pandemic. But these are no ordinary days. Together with AAMI, part of Suncorp Group, we were extremely pleased to be a part of this initiative. The incredible speed at which this great idea became reality to help thousands of frontline workers – just a matter of days – speaks volumes of the desire and commitment to give back at this time.
The initiative, available until 31 December 2020, includes help with car emergencies like flat tyres and batteries, lost or locked-in keys, towing, and 24-hour unlimited roadside callouts.
In the first 48 hours of launching, 2000 frontline workers registered to access this service. Digicall Assist has been able to help stranded frontline workers, including health workers at the centre of this devastating crisis, who otherwise had nowhere to turn for assistance.
For the healthcare and emergency services workers, this offer means they know someone is there for them, in the same way they are there for all of us. And for Digicall Assist employees, it means an enormous amount.
When our contact centre staff speak to customers on the dedicated line for frontline workers, they know they are directly assisting someone who is helping Australia respond to the COVID-19 crisis.
While these weeks and months are very challenging in many ways, they also offer extraordinary opportunities to think differently, to collaborate in innovative ways, and, simply, to show you care. Digicall Assist is both humbled and proud to contribute to the community in this way.
Healthcare and emergency services workers don’t need to be customers of Suncorp Group or AAMI to be eligible for this service, they can simply visit AAMI to find out more and register.
