Free Australia-wide roadside assistance for healthcare and frontline workers
Once again Digicall Assist is delighted to provide free Australia-wide roadside assistance to frontline healthcare and emergency workers for the remainder of this year, as part of our long-term partnership with Suncorp Group.
The joint offer by Digicall Assist and AAMI, part of Suncorp Group, makes free roadside assistance available to all medical practitioners, nurses, hospital staff, paramedics, fire fighters, SES staff and volunteers, police officers, vaccination and COVID testing staff in Australia, in recognition of their service amidst the ongoing pandemic.
The offer includes 24-hour roadside callouts for car breakdowns involving flat tyres or batteries, emergency fuel, lost or locked-in keys, or towing, until 31 December 2021. Launched earlier in August, the initiative attracted over 500 registrations from eligible workers on the first day.
It comes on the back of a similar initiative in 2020, that saw more than 3000 healthcare and frontline workers assisted at the roadside between May and December.
Feedback from that initiative underscored the importance of giving back to those who are giving so much to help Australians every day in challenging circumstances, as attested to by this testimony from last year:
“Thank you so much for this service. I am working 12 hrs a day in ICU and this was peace of mind. Thanks again. This is a wonderful way to give back.” – Megan, NSW
As an essential service, roadside assistance continues even in lockdown areas. All roadside assistance technicians follow strict COVID-safe protocols to comply with state and health guidelines, such as hygiene and social distancing measures, and not transporting broken-down motorists in tow trucks.
The new 2021 free roadside assist offer is a shot in the arm for healthcare and emergency services workers, who are on the frontline in addressing COVID-19 challenges, such as ongoing and fluctuating lockdowns, rising Covid case numbers, and increasing demand for vaccinations. Knowing that there’s someone who will help them in the event of a breakdown goes a long way.
“Amazing service and very grateful. I’m a nurse and I was out visiting patients at home and my car broke down. Don’t know what I would have done without your service. Thank you so much!!!” – Robyn, NSW
Healthcare and emergency services workers don’t need to be customers of Suncorp Group or AAMI to be eligible for this service, they can simply visit AAMI to find out more and register.
